Are there times when I don't need a GoldSheet?

Yes, you don't need a GoldSheet when you are submitting proposals for internal grants (i.e. Special Research Initiation Grants-SPRIGs, High Performance Computing Grants) , Iowa Space Grant Consortium, the Leopold Center, the Iowa Energy Center, or USDA task orders with NADC.

Submitting a proposal to OSPA


The proposal, including the following items, needs to arrive in OSPA at least four full working days prior to the sponsor deadline or when you need to mail it, whichever comes first.

You will need to include:


  1. Completed GoldSheet
  2. A copy of the program guidelines (may be called the RFA, RFP, PA, etc.)
     
  3. Signature page for proposal (Choose one)
  4. Copy of the proposal
    • Sponsor's proposal format
    • Proposal Boilerplate (PDF File, 1 page) (use if none is provided by the sponsoring agency) -OR-
    • Preliminary Scope of Work

  5. Completed budget and justification
  6. Applicable Assurances
  7. Federal Forms


If Iowa State University will be a Subcontractor to another institution's proposal, you will need to submit:

  • Transmittal Letter - template to be used with a subcontract
    (may be substituted with Sponsor's Cover Page signed by authorized institutional representative)
  • Scope of work
  • Budget and budget justification
